If you talk to yourself, you're not weird, you're actually a genius.

If you talk to yourself, you're not weird, you're actually a genius.
When I hear people talking to themselves on the subway or on the street, I often think that everything must be crazy. Then I'll do it myself. "Do not forget to turn off the coffee maker", "Where did I park my car?" "What would buy again?" I often say loudly so that others hear. But now it is proven. Talking to yourself is a sign that you are a genius. Albert Einstein talked to himself for example. Einstein.org writes that he used to repeat the sentences for himself. Here are 5 proofs of why one should talk more to himself.

1. Your brain works more efficiently if you talk to yourself.
Psychologists Daniel Swigley and Gary Lupyan's study published in the Quarterly Journal of Exprimental Psychology show that talking to themselves is actually positive.

Swigley and Lupya make an experiment of 20 people. They give them a name for an item they will find in a supermarket. During the first part of the experiment, participants were not allowed to talk, but during the second part of the experiment, they were allowed to repeat the name of the object while they were looking for it.

According to Live Science, participants found the object easier when they talked to themselves. Talking to yourself helps the memory. This makes the goal more concrete.

2. Talk to yourself only helps when you know what you want.
Saying the name of the object high will only help you know what the object looks like. If you do not know what you're looking for, you're just confused. According to Gary Lupyan:

"If you do not know what you are looking for, it does not help saying it high, but instead you can do it. But if you know that bananas are yellow and have a special shape, you can say "banana" highly activate the visual features of the brain and get help finding the bananas. "

3. As a child, you will learn more if you talk to yourself.
Children learn to talk by listening to adults and mimic what they say. We need to hear our own voice to learn how to use it.

According to Live Science, a child can guide themselves in different behaviors by talking loudly, for example, when they tie their shoelaces, and remind to focus on the task.

Think of all the little ones you know. Sure have you seen them talk to themselves when they play with cars or with their favorite goose animals?

A child can focus by talking about his problem. For example, if a boy says, "The little car gets fit in the garage, but the big car is too big," the boy will then test which car will fit in the garage.

A child learns by practicing what they think, it makes them remember how they solved the problem next time. Speaking loudly helps them get hold of the world.

4. Talking to yourself helps you get to mind.
Talking to yourself, according to psychologist Linda Sapadin, can help you make important decisions. "It helps you to gather thoughts and decide what's important."

Everybody knows that the best way to solve a problem is to talk about it, so why not talk to yourself because it's your own problem?

5. Talking to yourself helps you achieve your goals.
Making lists of how to achieve their goals can be overwhelming. Instead, talking through the goals is much more effective and a better way to achieve them. If you go through them step by step, each step will feel easier and more concrete.
Things will suddenly feel possible and you will be less worried about future problems.

As Sapadin says; "By saying your goal high you capture your attention, reinforce the message, control your feelings and screens of things that distract."

You become more independent by talking to yourself. For example, Albert Einstein, who was extremely talented and used his talents early on. People who talk to themselves are very skilled and just rely on themselves when it comes to finding out what they want.

So keep chatting in public space, it just proves you're a genius!
