The 5 major: Goldberg's personality traits.
Lewis Goldberg's personality traits are a theory also called "The 5 Great" or "Five-Factor Model". It arose from various studies that repeatedly emphasized certain personality traits as a way to determine how a person is.
Although people have talked about this model since 1933, it went to 1993 before they became a structured theory.
Goldberg identified the five major personality traits with capital letters. He also called them primary factors:
The first is the O-factor of openness, openness to new experiences
The other is C for Conscientiousness, Conscientiousness
The third is E for Extroversion, outward turn
The fourth is A for Agreeableness, Pleasure
And the last one is N for Neuroticism

At the same time, all of Goldberg's personality traits consist of more specific features. Researchers have developed different personality tests based on this model. They make it possible to evaluate and measure how the test taker is. Let's take a closer look at the dragon in this model.
Openness for experiences - a personality trait
Transparency (O) refers to a person's ability to seek new experiences. And not only that, but also the capacity to make room for them and visualize the future creatively.
People who are very open to experiences are imaginative and appreciate art. They work well with other people. They are also curious and prefer variation over the routine.
People with low marks in this category are people who are closed for new experiences. They show opposite moves. In other words, they prefer security and convention. It's hard for them to accept new things, which is why they prefer a solid schedule.
They tend to lean toward more technical activities and show some interest in the abstract.
C factor - conscientiousness
This factor refers to the capacity for self-control and the ability to act effectively. It is linked to planning, organization and execution. Consistency is also linked to perseverance, ability to complete goals, and to be punctual.
People with high scores in this factor are often organized. Others see them as reliable and accurate. At the extreme end, people with this move are perfectionists and can be workmates. They have a strong need for success.
Outward turn - another of Goldberg's personality traits
Outward turn is the ability to relate to others and enjoy their company. Extroverta likes to have company and feel comfortable in groups. They are good at working in teams and are optimistic as well as enthusiastic. When they are with other people, they are like the fish in the water.
At the opposite end, we have introvert, who work better alone. Introverta generally feels suspicious or cautious about other people. They prefer small friendship circles and feel uncomfortable in large groups.
A factor - comfort
This is mainly linked to the person's capacity for empathy. Those who get high scores in this factor are understanding and tolerant to other people. They are very good at understanding the needs and feelings of others.
People on the opposite end of the spectrum are difficult and competitive. They enjoy debates and arguments, and try to force their own way of thinking. Hotness is their business card. These people are good at contest-oriented activities and get the energy of being in front of others.
Neuroticism or emotional instability
This factor addresses the ability or inability to cope with difficult situations in life. People with high scores in this factor tend to behave unpredictably. They do not show a coherent behavior and their reactions vary greatly, although it is not clear why.
On the other hand, we have people who are stable, wise and moderate. They behave in this way even in crisis situations. People like these are calm and secure in their ability to handle difficult things and mistakes. They are generally positive and remain positive regardless of the difficulties.
According to Goldberg's personality traits, the result of the personality test is one point in each category that assesses the person as high, medium or low in each move. Sometimes it is used in the selection process for employment.
Educators use it with students to help them reach the professions that match their personalities. It is also used in clinical circumstances.
